Vaudeville & Big Band Concert
Majestic Theater Stage, 45 E. Second Street | Map
Delight in the entertainment of the early 1900s as performed on the historic Majestic Theater stage. There was no television, radio, Internet, or Netflix. While silent films existed, there was no sound. If a Camp Sherman soldier wanted to see and hear the latest songs, jokes, or animal acts, he went to see vaudeville.
This special, one time performance by the Scioto Society and the Chillicothe Civic Theater will include period costumes and music along with some background on how Camp Sherman Soldiers came to see the shows. This presentation will also feature some unique Camp Sherman scenes. Take the kids back to another time. Don’t miss this fun filled musical evening for the entire family.
Following the vaudeville stage show, the evening will end with a big band appearing on the lawn outside the theater playing classic period songs.
