Vintage Baseball Game

Ohio Village Muffins vs Adena Worthingtons

Adena Mansion and Gardens, 847 Adena Road | Map

Bring your blanket or lawn chair and join us on the grounds when the Adena Worthingtons challenge the Ohio Village Muffins, an 1860’s baseball team that plays the game by 19th century rules, in an exhibition game of vintage baseball. The match begins at 2:00 PM.

Camp Sherman included a number of baseball diamonds and the game was an important part of recreation for the soldiers who trained there. In 1917, the Boston Red Sox, with Babe Ruth still pitching, were the defending World Series Champions. Baseball had already been in existence for several decades. Finish off Camp Sherman Days with a salute to an even earlier era of our National Pastime!

Free Event, no reservation required.
